At the Park

One of my favorite words in the english language is limpid, which among its other definitions, means 'calm and untroubled; serene'. It is usually referred to the sky, to imply the absence of clouds, but it can also describe the grace with which a dancer moves, the easy flow of the words escaping a writer's pen, the pleasant sound emerging from an instrument. In itself, the word induces calmness and serenity. To me, limpid is also a feeling, like the one born from a nice walk in the park with somebody you care about. When you feel light and happy and free.
Yesterday, everything from the sky to my mood was limpid. Even the air, with its frosty bite, was refreshing and cleared my mind. It was the perfect morning for a walk in the park with my best friend, and a little photoshoot. I sported my new christmas presents-a handmade scarf and a vintage leather jacket from the 70s- to keep me warm.
