Healthy Turkey Salad
8:58 PMI'm not a cook. In fact I can barely cook, but I really like it. A couple of nights ago I invited two of my friends over for dinner, and decided to cook something healthy for them. Since it was actually really easy and quite good, I decided to share it. Hope you enjoy and maybe even decide to make this yourself!
Ingredients:
- Turkey breasts
- Green beans
- Cherry tomatoes
- Bacon
- Croutons
- Garlic
- Salt
- Olive oil
- Spices of your choosing
First thing first, let's set the mood. Put on some Christmas music and light some candles and let's get this going!
Start by sautéing garlic by placing it in a pan with hot oil for a while. In the mean time cut up your turkey breast into smaller pieces, and when you're done, add that to the pan. Season your chicken with the salt and the spices of your liking.
While the turkey is cooking, cut off the tips of the green beans and throw them away. Wash your beans, and then place them in a pot of boiling water and salt. Leave those to cook for about 10 minutes.
The turkey should be cooking nicely now, so you can go ahead and turn it over. This is also a good time to add your bacon bits to the pan so they can cook as well. While everything is on the stove, go ahead and cut up your cherry tomatoes. I honestly like them cut in fourths, but you can do that however you prefer.
Once your green beans are soft and your turkey is a nice golden brown, you're ready to plate! I put the greens as a base, put the tomatoes over, the meat as the top layer, and then sprinkled some croutons as a finishing touch. The only thing left now is to add your dressing, I put a bit of salt, olive oil and some lemon, but you can add whatever you like.
As you saw it was super easy but I really like it because it's quick, yummy, and really pretty and colourful to look at!
